CBeebies is a huge hit with Munchkin. And with me. And one programme we love is Abney and Teal; with it’s old fashion feel and gentle story lines it quickly became a firm favourite of ours.

I was thrilled to hear that they were bringing out a monthly magazine and we were lucky enough to have a pre sales copy for review.

The magazine has all the popular characters from the TV programme in delightful stories. The illustrations are so lovely but what I really loved is that ultimately the emphasis is on learning.

Children can have fun colouring and drawing, solving problems, counting, matching shapes, recognising patterns and they are encouraged to get active which aids coordination.

Munchkin’s favourite part of the magazine was the workbook and quickly got to work filling it in. The 50 stickers also received a thumbs up from him.

The theme of this issue was music and the first story sees Abney and Teal play in a band – and of course Toby Dog plays his squeeze box. The magazine has a free gift of a music set – Abney’s whistle and Teal’s guitar.

Munchkin adored this copy and I just know it will become a firm favourite of ours!

Abney and Teal magazine is currently onsale in all good newsagents.

*DISCLAIMER – we received this copy of the magazine for the purpose of this review, however we genuinely loved it!*
