I’m all for freedom of speech. After all, we do live in a democratic society. It means we have the right to view our opinions without fear of government censorship.

But if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all!

I love talking with people who hold a different view point to me; I love to know why and how their lives are different because of it.

Once we’ve had a discussion, I don’t necessarily have to change my opinion – and I don’t for one minute expect them to change theirs – but a sensible grown up discussion is what it’s all about.

And I don’t believe that my opinion is definitely the right one so I’m always open to hearing something new. To learn. To grow.

I love to live in a multi-cultural society. I love that because of it there are new foods, musics, religions. I love that it makes life more vivacious and exciting.

Because who wants to live in homogenised society?

I want to live a life that is bright and vibrant and positive. And I want that life for my boys too. I want them to respect differences and embrace them because ultimately we are all individuals and interesting – that’s the way our lives should be.
