We all know that we’re meant to be drinking roughly 8 glasses of water each day. But that isn’t always practical. And it isn’t always palatable…

I often add fruits to my water to enhance the taste: citrus is a lovely fresh flavour that really quenches a thirst when the weather is hot and berries are also really nice; frozen berries help keep a drink cool too.

Zingo is a new drinking bottle that really encourages fruit infusions as it contains a citrus press within the base.

It’s incredible simple to put together: simply put the lid on the bottle, turn it upside down then twist the citrus press into position, add the fruit and replace the base. Then you’re ready to turn the right way up and add water (roughly 600ml). The neck is also large enough to add ice cubes!

The ingenious design of this water bottle means that there is no mess when juicing the citrus fruit as it is all done within the bottle. I tried this initially with lemon halves – superb!

But then I decided to get a little more adventurous and added half a lime in the base. Then I added a few chopped strawberries into the main body of the bottle. Again, another taste sensation.

Because the bottle splits into several pieces, it is simple to clean – and is dish washer safe. It is BPA free too.

Zingo is available in three vibrant colours – pink, blue and green – and costs £10.00
